Elmhurst man charged with molesting boy

A Cook County judge set bond at $200,000 Friday for an Elmhurst man charged with molesting a young boy.
Michael Welch, 32, faces criminal sexual assault charges. Cook County Assistant State's Attorney David Shin said the assault occurred March 30 at a Rolling Meadows hotel where the boy and his family were staying.
Welch has a domestic battery conviction, said Shin.
Welch next appears in court on June 6.
