NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily on Wednesday:

Brown-Forman Corp., up $3.45 to $100.80

The maker of Jack Daniel's and other liquor brands gained ground after it reported strong fourth-quarter results.

Caterpillar Inc., up $1.30 to $78.11

Machinery companies rose as the dollar weakened, which makes their products more affordable, and metals prices rose.

Newmont Mining Corp., up 43 cents to $35.38

Metals prices jumped Wednesday, taking share of mining companies higher.

VeriFone Systems Inc., down $6.96 to $21.27

The maker of terminals used for electronic payments slashed its annual forecast and plans job cuts after a weak quarterly report.

Dave & Buster's Entertainment Inc., up $4.29 to $46.15

The restaurant and arcade chain reported strong first-quarter results and raised its outlook for the year.

Oxford Industries Inc., down 63 cents to $64.50

The owner of Tommy Bahama, Lilly Pulitzer and other clothing lines reported first-quarter results that disappointed investors.

F5 Networks Inc., down $3.59 to $120.35

The networking company's stock had jumped a day earlier on reports it will consider selling itself.

Skullcandy Inc., up 63 cents to $4.56

The headphones maker's founder said he might want to take Skullcandy private.
