Streamwood 48, Elgin 34: After a week since their first win of the season, the Sabres (2-4, 1-0) made it two in a row, opening up Upstate Eight Conference River Division play with a win at Elgin. Kiana Jeremiah finished with a game-high 20 points, Jenejha Williams added 14 and Cayla Hawkins chipped in 7 and had 10 rebounds. Alisha Panthier led the Maroons (2-4, 0-1) with 11 points while Abby Pierre-Louis added 9 as the team struggled to score early, netting only 14 points by halftime.
Westminster Christian 56, Keith School 4: Maddie Versluys and Elise Van Noord both scored 14 points for the Warriors (4-3, 2-0) as they won big in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Jax Kelty chipped in with 6 points and 5 rebounds and Kristen Mason added 6 as well along with 6 steals.
Schaumburg Christian 64, Elgin Academy 35: Despite the efforts of Madeline Sporina, the Hilltoppers (0-3) fell in nonconference action on the road. The freshman Sporina poured in a career best and game-high 24 points and had 13 rebounds as well.
Crystal Lake South 49, McHenry 44: Overcoming a 14-point halftime deficit, the Gators (5-2, 1-0) completed the comeback at home against McHenry in the their first Fox Valley Conference Valley Division matchup. Led by Chanel Fanter (25 points) and Kianna Clark (10 points, 8 rebounds) CLS scored 37 second-half points to secure the victory.
