Snappers rally to beat Cougars

BELOIT, Wis. - The Kane County Cougars ended an otherwise successful 5-2 road trip with a 6-5 loss to the Beloit Snappers (17-24) at Pohlman Field Thursday evening. The Cougars (20-21) led 5-0 before the Snappers rallied.

Highlights for the Cougars included Ryan Hutchison's RBI single, a 2-run double by Cody Regis and Marty Herum's RBI single that extended his hitting and RBI streak to seven games. Starter Brent Jones (2-4) was the losing pitcher, but the Cougars got scoreless relief from Tom Jameson (3 innings) and Luis Ramirez (1 inning).

The Cougars host the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers today at 6:30 p.m. to open a four-game series, sending Touki Toussaint (0-0, 2.25 ERA) against Cy Sneed (1-5, 2.21).
