'Barn Burner Bar-B-Q' to benefit Lambs Farm
Up to 50 teams will be cooking low and slow in the Lambs Farm parking lot at the ninth annual "Barn Burner Bar-B-Q" competition on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18.
The teams compete in five categories to win the Grand Champion title and the chance to compete at other national Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned events. Additionally, this year the event is open to the public with entertainment, food, raffle prizes and free admission.
Join the fun from 5-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, with live DJ, EDTV Media Creations, food from the Lambs Farm Magnolia Cafe, and beer from Tighthead Brewing Company, and mingle with the teams as they prep for competition.
Come back from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, for music from the Dave's Not Here Band, participate in the raffle and enjoy food from the many vendors like Smokey's BBQ, Best Truckin' BBQ, Sadie's Roasted Corn, Momcorn, Tasty Vending and Fannie May.
Winners and awards will be announced at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.
