West Michigan officials identify woman dead in Kentwood fire
KENTWOOD, Mich. (AP) - Western Michigan authorities have identified a 69-year-old woman who was killed when her apartment caught fire.
The fire broke out about 4:50 a.m. Wednesday at Ashton Woods Apartments in the Grand Rapids suburb of Kentwood.
The Grand Rapids Press (http://bit.ly/14vMmLq ) reports that authorities say Barbara Baker died of smoke inhalation.
Kentwood fire Chief Brent Looman says investigators haven't yet determined the cause of the fire but says it could be smoking or a faulty power cord.
