Gigi's Playhouse Fun Run June 14

Gigi's Playhouse National Achievement Center in Hoffman Estates expects more than 3,000 people from across the Chicago area to participate in its annual 5K Run, Walk and Dash for Down Syndrome on Sunday, June 14, at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates.

Registration will run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with the 5K beginning at 8:45 a.m., the one-mile walk at 9:30 a.m., and the dash at 11 a.m.

The cost is $15 per person under 12, $25 per person 12 and over until June 5, and $35 per person 12 and over after June 5.

The event will offer activities for the entire family, including a DJ, inflatable bounce houses, face painting, dancing, food, refreshments and more.
