Fremd edges Glenbrook North, Prospect

It was as tight as it gets when Fremd, Prospect, Glenbrook North met in a girls golf tri-meet at Palatine Hills on Monday.
The host Vikings (164) squeaked out victories over Glenbrook North (165) and Prospect (166) on the par 36 course.
That means Fremd will go into today's Palatine Hills showdown with visiting Barrington just one meet behind the Mid-Suburban League-leading Fillies, who have not lost. The Vikings' only loss is to Buffalo Grove.
Jaehee Hur (41), Haezi Jung (41), AnnMarie O'Sullivan (41) and Annie Gao (42) led the Vikings while top scorers for Prospect were Kate Ponzi (39), Sabrina Accardi (40), Payton Chantry (43) and Emily Fleming (44).
Barrington d. Rolling Meadows: Barrington remained undefeated in the MSL with a 154-200 victory, led by Allie Quinn (37), Ishani Majmudar (37), Shivani Majmudar (40) and Akshara Ramakrishnan (40).
Conant d. Maine South: Megan Nagorzanki earned medalist honors for Conant (172) in its 172-215 victory at the Fox Run Golf Links in Elk Grove.

Maine West d. Palatine: Maine West win the nonconference match 189-197 as Megan Kalinowski (38) led the Warriors followed by Renee Adam (41).
Jennifer Myslinski shot a team-best 43 for the Pirates.
