Apartments proposed for Plaza Circle in Mundelein

The Mundelein village board meets Monday night to discuss a developer's proposal to construct an apartment building on Plaza Circle south of village hall.

A four-story building with 165 units is planned, documents indicate.

The Synergy Construction Group seeks to purchase the roughly 3.2-acre site from the village for $1.2 million. Under the current plan, the village will reimburse the developer up to $360,000 for demolition costs and $88,616 for proposed public improvements. Other financial incentives are proposed, too.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 300 Plaza Circle.
