Grains mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly lower Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. delivery lost 3.40 cents at $4.82 a bushel; Dec. corn was off .20 cent at $3.73 a bushel; Dec. oats fell 2.60 cents at $2.7360 a bushel; while Nov. soybeans was up 1.40 cents at 8.98 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Oct. live cattle gained 1.31 cents at $1.0208 a pound; Sep. feeder cattle was up .05 cent at $1.4120 a pound; Oct. lean hogs rose .50 cent at .6175 a pound.
