Stevenson grad Brunson named MVP in U19 title game

Stevenson graduate Jalen Brunson was named MVP of the U19 World Championships in Greece.

Team USA beat Croatia 79-71 in overtime in Sunday's gold medal game. Brunson led the U.S. with 14 points and 7 rebounds against Croatia. For the tournament, he averaged 14 points, 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals.

"I'm speechless. I've got to give credit to my teammates," said Brunson, who is headed to Villanova. "They found me the right positions to just make plays, and I found them vice versa. I just can't thank everybody enough. We worked so hard for this."
