13-year-old boy shot in Des Plaines

Des Plaines police are investigating the shooting of a 13-year old boy Friday night on the 1300 block of East Prospect Avenue.

Police said they responded to several calls of a disturbance in the area about 8:15 p. m. They found a 13-year-old boy who had been shot in the face.

The victim was taken in serious condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
