Comeback victory for Mundelein

Hernan Portillo and Kenny Adiyah scored in the second half, as Mundelein's boys soccer team rallied to beat host Warren 2-1 in the North Suburban Lake Division action Tuesday night.

Jose Ortega and Bryan Alba had assists for Mundelein (8-2-1), which trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Declan Porter scored off an assist from Richie Flores for Warren (6-3-1), which got 10 saves from keeper Blair McCormick.

Mundelein goalie Donnie Kvien had 7 saves for Mundelein.

Antioch 2, Wauconda 1: Antioch scored twice in the first half and made the lead hold up in North Suburban Prairie boys soccer play Tuesday.

The outcome put Sequoits coach Marni Polakow on the verge of a coaching milestone, as she now has 99 varsity boys soccer coaching victories in her career.

Goals for Antioch (4-4, 1-2) came from Luke Semitka (assisted by Krystian Nikolov) and from Mickey West (assisted by Danny Brito).

Brito increased his output so far this season to 7 goals and 10 assists.

Raffa Constello scored for Wauconda (1-3-2) for a free kick.

Carmel 4, Lakes 0: Michael Alemu had a pair of second-half goals to help the Corsairs to a nonconference triumph. Austin Ehren and Andrew Kompare also scored for Carmel.

Grant 2, North Chicago 2: Rudy Frescas had an unassisted goal and provided an assist to teammate Zack Kowalik as the Bulldogs and Warhawks played to a draw in the North Suburban Prairie.

Senior goalkeeper Nathan Munsterman made 11 saves for Grant.

Crystal Lake South 6, Grayslake North 0: Crystal Lake South moves to 5-2-3 on the season with the shutout of the Knights.

Libertyville 3, Solorio 0: The host Wildcats won the Pepsi Showdown game, receiving all 3 of their goals from Nathan Edmunds.

Darrin Ioss had an assist for Libertyville (4-1).

Brant Kim and Thomas Pearson shared the shutout in goal for the Wildcats.

Jacobs 1, Grayslake Central 0: Goalie Conner Gosell had 9 saves for Grayslake Central.
