The Kiwanis Club of Elgin, now in its 95th year, received its charter March 9, 1920, and serves the Kiwanis International mission, to change the world one child at a time, one community at a time. In that time, the Elgin noon club donated over one million dollars to organizations in Elgin and South Elgin.
Anyone interested in joining the club is invited to attend a weekly lunch meeting, held at noon each Tuesday at The Grumpy Goat Tavern, 875 Sports Way, Elgin, at the Highlands Golf Course. For information on the barbecue or membership, contact Karen Maki, (847) 695-7589.
