Mancino head municipal league:

Hawthorn Woods Village President Joseph Mancino has been elected president of the Lake County Municipal League, the village said in a news release on its website. Mancino began serving his term July 17. Before being elected, he served as director on the board of the Lake County Municipal League for the past four years, including one year as secretary. The League's membership is comprised of 38 Lake County municipal government organizations including mayors, board members and municipal administrators. The League serves as a vehicle for members to collaborate on issues and legislation and take joint-action on matters affecting Lake County municipalities. Mancino was elected Hawthorn Woods village president in 2009.
