New gas station to open in Des Plaines

A new gas station is reopening where an old one closed in Des Plaines. The city council this week approved a conditional use permit that allows for the opening of a convenience mart fueling station at 680 N. Wolf Road, the site of a shuttered Phillips 66 gas station. The station, which sits on a 27,301-square-foot lot, will have four fuel pump islands and an automated car wash. It is proposed to operate 24 hours a day.
