Campton Hills taking nominations for Outstanding Citizen Award

The Village of Campton Hills is conducting its third annual Outstanding Citizen Award search.

The annual award will be given to a Campton Hills resident or business owner operating or living in Campton Hills.

The nominee must have assisted in the improvement or added value to the village of Campton Hills in the past 12 years.

Application forms are available by going to www.villageofcamptonhills.org or contacting the village hall at (630) 584-5700.

The nominee cannot be a member of the Campton Hills governing body.

Application forms must be submitted and received at the village hall, 40W270 LaFox Road, Suite B, by Friday, Nov. 1. No exceptions allowed.

The award will be announced and presented in January at the village board meeting.

Dave Corron is the 2019 winner for his work as a caretaker at the historic Corron Farm as well as his volunteering for the National Night Out events and the township's annual Prairie Fest held at the farm site. In 2018, Neal Anderson, former township supervisor, was the winner of Campton Hills' inaugural Outstanding Citizen Award. An active volunteer with several local organizations, he has participated in restoration of historical barns in the village and is an active supporter of open space.
