Maine West snaps losing streak

Anthony Dones scored a game-high 15 points and Matt Acevedo had 13 as Maine West snapped a 10-game losing streak and picked up a Central Suburban North victory by defeating Maine East 42-37 on Friday in Des Plaines.

The game was tied heading into the fourth quarter, when the Warriors outscored their foes 12-7.

Dones made three 3s for Maine West (2-11), which hosts Rolling Meadows on Saturday in nonconference play.
