Parts of Lake Shore Drive closed after protests

Hundreds of people in Chicago protesting a grand jury's decision not to indict a Missouri police officer in the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager marched downtown after police closed portions of Lake Shore Drive and other streets on their route.

Chicago police on bicycles, horseback and in squad cars followed along with the protesters as they headed to the business district.

The marchers shouted and used profanities but TV images showed that the crowd was peaceful otherwise.

A Chicago Police Department spokesman says there have been no reports of vandalism or arrests.

The march started minutes after it was reported that Officer Darren Wilson would not face charges in the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown.
