BFC: Still boogieing at 40!
On the heels of a two-year recession, high inflation and leisure suits, Joe Novak Sr. thought 1975 was a good year to start a business. With disco all the rage, BFC made its debut as a four-employee financial print brokerage firm in a 2,000-square-foot office based in Chicago. Over the past 40 years, BFC has grown to a 100-employee, 120,000-square-foot technology based communications and print company in Batavia.
"We continue to build on my father's original vision," says Joe Jr., president. "That vision of taking care of the customer while leveraging technology to always be a step ahead of our customer's needs has served us well."
With a foundation rooted in family values, the second generation executive team of Joe Jr., Brad, Matt and Karen Novak-McMahon have assembled a strong team of professionals, made up of sales professionals and account managers, IT developers, online system specialists, call center reps, a staff of manufacturing professionals and warehousing/logistics personnel. The company's customer base is diversified, with a focus on providing technology solutions to create, manage and distribute communications for financial, insurance and franchise organizations.
BFC currently manages roughly 100 online e-store sites, providing brand management, content integrity and personalized marketing programs. The company stresses client partnerships by placing IT developers, production and project management personnel inside several nationwide customer locations.
Exclusive BFC solutions include myDocument, utilized by Insurance, Healthcare and Financial organizations to build, manage, deliver and track member communications. A powerful tool for manufacturing, sales/distribution and franchises, myResource is a secure, branded portal to enforce, personalize, deliver and track all stationery and marketing collateral.
Locally, the company supports Batavia United Way, Kane County Toys For Tots, The Live Like Katie Foundation and Moose Charities.
While 1975's disco steps, pet rocks and mood rings are just a memory, BFC is well-heeled to continue dancing into the future.
