Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain. The tax rate at this time is just right. We are able to maintain the village at a highly acceptable level. I have complete faith and trust in the Chief of Police, the Fire Chief and their commissions. They are always at the forefront of the latest of processes and technologies. Their biggest concern is the safety of the village and all the residents.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?The current budget is right on target, this an area in which our Village Administrator and staff work very diligently. The budgets presented to the Trustees are always fiscally sound and responsible, there is no need for cuts and any areas that are slighted. What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to see the village work in connection with the Kane County Forest Preserve District to connect the Illinois Prairie Path with the village center. Currently you have to go to the far northeast of the village to connect the Illinois Prairie Path and the Kane County Bike Path. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Currently the village runs extremely smooth and I would like to be part of continuing this. Please name one current leader who most inspires you. There is not a particular person that comes to mind. I will always be inspired by someone that is open and honest. What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Be forthright and upstanding. If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would not change anything in my life, everything has been a lesson and have made me the person that I am today. What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Science, it helped me to learn to look at issues from all aspects, gather the information and then make a sound decision. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Always be honest, do not make rash decisions and always stand by your word.
