Milwaukee County to release 227K pages in John Doe probe

MADISON, Wis. - Milwaukee County officials are planning to release more than 227,000 pages of emails and other documents related to a probe of Gov. Scott Walker's aides and associates when he was county executive.

Officials plan to release the documents around 11 a.m. Tuesday. The release is the fifth such release of information prosecutors seized form county and personal computers during the investigation that ended in 2013. Walker wasn't charged but six others were convicted on charges ranging from theft to misconduct in office.

A judge in May turned over 500 gigabytes of records from the probe to Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele's office and ordered them to be release. Abele has released four other groups of documents in August, September, October and November.
