Fort Wayne police say 3 shooting deaths are connected
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities in Fort Wayne say the shooting deaths of a teenage girl and two brothers are related.
Fort Wayne Police spokesman Michael Joyner is describing the shootings as targeted violence.
Dead are 20-year-old Brandon Terrell Washington, 21-year-old Larry Devon Washington Jr. and 16-year-old Anastasia LaShawn Butler. Police found Brandon Washington's body inside a home on Thursday. The bodies of Larry Washington and the teenage girl were found in a parked SUV Friday morning.
The Allen County coroner's office has ruled the deaths homicides. Brandon and Larry Washington were brothers.
Larry Washington was awaiting a March trial on charges of robbery and criminal confinement in connection with two separate cases.
Butler was a student at South Side High School.
Joyner says police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
