Kids give themselves creepy complexions in Lake Villa

Kids transformed themselves into the undead at the Lake Villa District Library Monday night during a zombie makeup program.

Scars, bruises and other gruesome looks were created with the help of nine students in the Lakes High School theater program.

"Kids are interested in blood and bruises," said Lakes High School Theater Director Abra Chusid.

This is the third year the program has been held at the library and is offered to kids in grades 7-12.

Gore will make an encore when the library holds its Zombie Bash from 7 to 8:30 Monday, Oct. 27, with contests, food and games.
