Munger will help turn failing state around

As a former District 103 school board member, president of the Riverside Foundation Auxiliary, and Lincolnshire Community Association Board member, I've worked closely with Illinois state representative candidate Leslie Munger for more than 20 years. She is the smart and clear choice to turn our failing state around and change the political culture in Springfield.

Leslie is an outstanding leader who sets lofty goals and consistently achieves them. She has routinely demonstrated her tireless work ethic, ability to work productively with others and solve big problems like Illinois has. I can't think of another candidate who'd bring better analytical skills, intellect, experience, a lifetime of success and integrity to the state representative position than Leslie Munger.

Leslie isn't a politician and doesn't want it as a career. She is motivated to serve the people only. Anyone who knows her is keenly aware she doesn't need the job or the money; she decided to run because she was tired of the fiscal insanity, political patronage and self-serving environment in our capital. She stepped up to offer the voters a distinct choice for change and a new direction.

It's impressive that Leslie has been able to build such a robust coalition of Democratic, independent and Republican supporters in such a short time and receive the endorsement of the Daily Herald. I support Leslie Munger and look forward to her representing my family in District 59.
