Minor, Carmel complete sectional victories

Led by Michigan-bound senior Brienne Minor, who won singles, Carmel Catholic's girls tennis team captured the rain-delayed Highland Park sectional, which wrapped up Monday.

Wauconda freshman Sarah Hackman, Lake Forest senior Colleen Morris and Libertyville senior Halle Roach also advanced to state out of the singles bracket.

Qualifying for state in doubles were Highland Park seniors Casey Frommer/Lizzie Raab, Lake Forest juniors Zoe Park/Brynn Carlson, Highland Park seniors Rachel Retsky/Jessica Rosenberg and Libertyville sophomores Danielle Blaser/Callie Klein.

Highland Park and Lake Forest tied for second place with 21 points each.
