Sky likely to lose guard Gardner for season due to injury

Sky guard Rebekah Gardner suffered a torn right Achilles tendon while playing in Spain for Girona, the team confirmed. After a long career overseas, Gardner, 33, made her WNBA debut in 2022 for the Sky and quickly earned a reputation as one of the league's best defenders. Last season she played in just three games due to a foot injury and now is likely to miss the entire 2024 campaign.
