Blood drive Feb. 25 in memory of Arlington Heights girl

Our Lady of the Wayside Parish will host a blood drive in memory of an Arlington Heights girl who died in 2007 after battling acute myeloid leukemia for two years.

Emily Ann Holum was six years old when she passed. As Emmy needed numerous transfusions of blood products, her family says the blood drive is a way she can continue to help others.

The event is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, in the parish gym, 435 S. Ridge Ave. in Arlington Heights.

Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are recommended. For questions contact parishnurse@olwparish.org.
