White Sox sign Moustakas to minor-league deal
The White Sox signed veteran Mike Moustakas to a minor-league contract Wednesday night and the deal includes an invitation to major-league spring training. The 35-year-old Moustakas split last season between the Rockies and Angels and slashed a combined .247/.293/.392 with 12 home runs and 48 RBI. Over his 13-year career, the left-handed hitter has played for the Royals, Brewers, Reds, Rockies and Angels. Moustakas has hit 20 or more homers in a season six times. He can play third base, first and second.
