After Hours Film Society to show Oscar-nominated short films Feb. 26

After Hours Film Society will present the 2024 Oscar Nominated Short Films at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave. in Downers Grove.

ShortsTV’s Oscar Nominated Short Films is the world’s largest commercial release of short films, delighting audiences and giving filmmakers an unprecedented opportunity to entertain short film fans.

Organist David Rhodes and the Mighty Wurlitzer organ concerts have returned to the Tivoli stage, thanks to a generous grant from the JCS Arts, Health & Education Fund of DuPage Foundation. The organ lights up 30 minutes before the screening, so come early and enjoy the music.

Admission is $11 or $7 for After Hours Film Society members.

A discussion follows the film. For information, visit www.afterhoursfilmsociety.com.

The next films will be the 2023 "Maestro," starring Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan about the marriage of composer Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre, on March 4; and the 2023 German drama "The Teachers' Lounge" by İlker Çatak on March 25.

In April, they will be showing François Ozon's 2023 French crime comedy "The Crime is Mine" on April 8; and Josh and Rebecca Tickell’s 2023 documentary "Common Ground," a sequel to "Kiss the Ground," on April 22.
