Apply for Batavia Chamber of Commerce's Inspire Scholarship

The 2024 Inspire Scholarships are now open for applications. The scholarship program, sponsored by the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, will be given to Batavia Unit District 101 high school seniors, with up to four awards given.

The four scholarships, worth $1,000 each, are motivated by the makeup of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce membership.

The scholarships are: Inspiring Entrepreneurship; Inspiring Women in Business; Inspiring Career & Technical Achievers; and Inspiring Contributors to a Batavia Chamber Business.

• Inspiring Entrepreneurship: This scholarship will reward a student who has interest starting a business to encourage consideration to locate in Batavia someday.

• Inspiring Women in Business: This scholarship will go to a female high school student interested in a business major to encourage more women to pursue these fields.

• Inspiring Career & Technical Achievers: This scholarship will go to a high school student interested in a trade or career in manufacturing who plans on attending a two-year school, technical training or certificate program.

• Inspiring Contributors to a Batavia Chamber Business: This scholarship will go a high school student for working for a Batavia Chamber business for more than one year during high school and plans on attending a two or four-year college or university.

The financial award shall be paid directly to the institute the recipient will be attending.

The application must be fully completed and submitted to the Batavia Chamber by 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31. Visit www.bataviachamber.org.
