Have holiday cup of tea at annual historical society event

The Elgin Area Historical Society will hold its annual holiday tea from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Old Main Museum, 360 Park St., Elgin. Admission is free.

The Elgin High School Madrigal Singers will be featured from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.

Society member Jan Embree will provide craft supplies for children to make holiday ornaments.

The museum store will be open for holiday shopping from noon to 4 p.m.

The museum store features an array of books about Elgin's history, videotapes, ceramics, children's old-fashioned toys and games.
