Huckabee another religious-right nut

Mike Huckabee is gaining steam, but based on what? I reviewed his Web site, only to find he is simply repackaging the same old stuff as every other non-visionary Republican candidate of my generation.

He's not for abortion but guns are cool.

The war in Iraq is just, and we are not getting out until we win (whatever winning means).

He wants to tax less and spend even less.

He is against same-sex unions and wants a constitutional amendment preventing them.

(Given his evangelical faith, he won't be satisfied with preventing their marriage but will also condemn them to Hell.)

The list goes on and on, but you have seen it all before -- another nut job with the support of the toothless lion known as the Religious Right.

How can Huckabee, a purported Christian, a Bible-thumping evangelical minister, no less, be against abortion (presumably based on biblical admonitions against killing) but condone the murder and torture taking place in the criminal war in Iraq?
