Aurora man arrested after offering sex services on Craigslist

A 34-year-old Aurora man has been charged with prostitution after offering sexual services on a Web site, police said Tuesday.

Police arrested Jason A. Pauls, of the 1700 block of Delta Drive, about 4:45 p.m. Monday after he arrived for a meeting with a potential customer who was an undercover officer, police said.

In November, an undercover officer discovered Pauls offering services that implied prostitution on Craigslist.com.

After chatting with him via e-mail for several days, Pauls offered to perform sex acts on the officer in exchange for money, police said.

The two men agreed to meet in the parking lot of a grocery store on the 3000 block of E. New York St. on Monday.

Pauls was arrested without incident, police said. His next court date is Jan. 8 in DuPage County.

He is the third person charged with prostitution this year by Aurora police.
