Newborn gibbon ready for visitors at Brookfield Zoo
Reo, a newborn white-cheeked gibbon, greeted the public for the first time this morning at Brookfield Zoo.
The tiny ape, born Nov. 13, relaxed with his mother, Indah, at the Tropic World: Asia exhibit.
Reo, which means "fast" in Thai, was born with a light-colored coat that matches his mother's and acts as camouflage.
At age 1, his coat will turn black, except for the white on his cheeks.
