Rep. Kirk still votes for Bush agenda

Mark Kirk continues to misrepresent his constituents. Recently, he voted against the funding bill that called for an orderly and responsible redeployment from Iraq.

This along with his votes to kill the Children's Health Insurance bill (SCHIP) shows he has not learned and is still towing the Bush line. (That's right, between the major votes, Kirk voted seven times to table the measure or adjourn which would have effectively killed the bill. Then, on the final vote, he flipped and voted for SCHIP.)

Around 150,000 families have something missing. They, who have a family member serving in Iraq, ate another Thanksgiving dinner without their loved ones.

We --and especially Congressman Kirk -- have a responsibility to them that we do not take their sacrifice for granted or in vain. We must bring our troops home.
