Dance troupe to perform 'Nutcracker'

Illinois Youth Dance Theatre will present Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" at 7 p.m. Dec. 21 and 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 22 in the Performing Arts Center at Lake Zurich High School, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich. Admission is $25 per person. For tickets, call (815) 675-9359 or visit www.dancepasg.com.

The company of Illinois Youth Dance Theatre includes more than 60 members ranging in age from 4 to adult. IYDT will feature guest artist Sam Pergande, formerly with the Joffrey Ballet.

Alyce Keaggy-Brinkmann is the artist director of IYDT. She danced professionally with the Milwaukee Ballet Company for 13 years. She was promoted to soloist in 1986 and is a faculty member of the Milwaukee School of Ballet.
