Stroger spokesman says he was caller

After much speculation about the identify of a radio show call-in who defended a 2 percent sales tax hike, the spokesman for Cook County Board President Todd Stroger -- who is proposing that massive increase -- came forward Friday.

Andre Garner admitted he posed as "Jonathan from Chicago" during a WGN radio show to support Stroger's tax-hike plans while his boss was on the show taking questions from callers Thursday.

On Friday, Garner apologized for lying about his identity, according to the WGN's John Williams radio show, and said Stroger didn't know he was going to call in.
