Adler receives grants: Adler Park School has been awarded a $500 grant from a local Mobil gasoline station in the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program.

The grant, which comes through ExxonMobil Corp., was presented by the Liberty Mart of Denpro Inc. at 1790 N. Milwaukee Ave. The station on Milwaukee Avenue has given the grant to Adler for the last eight years.

"One of our school improvements goals is for 90 percent of our students to achieve a Meet or Exceed in computation as measured on our state tests," said Principal Janet Brownlie.

"We will be using this grant to purchase additional classroom math material to be used for reinforcing the math skills in kindergarten through fifth grade. This will further help our students develop their accuracy in math computation skills."
