All schools should combat smoking

I am writing in response to your article on Nov. 19 called, "Teens encourage classmates not to smoke."

I agree with the writer on how Elk Grove High School seniors were educating their fellow classmates on the dangers of tobacco. I also liked the idea that the seniors were distributing anti-tobacco educational materials and goody bags to those students who pledge not to smoke.

Other high schools should do this so the students and also adults would learn the dangers of smoking.
