Reminders needed for traffic safety

Thank you Susan Sarkauskas for your attention to the little things. Of course I am referring to the Nov. 29 article about "Making sure littlest passengers are safe on the road."

Having been a little escape artist myself when I was only 3 by getting out of my car seat in a rental car, hopping in the front seat and heading across a busy street into a mailbox, I know that this can happen and people get hurt.

In my case the only damage done was to a mailbox, but it still reminds me to be safe when I am driving, and that means ensuring that my passengers are safe too.

It is important to inform drivers of their mistakes with informational packets that help them understand what they should be doing without getting them in legal trouble.

If the sense of safety doesn't make parents secure their children, maybe the watchful eye of other drivers will.
