Conant student sues after fall from rock-climbing wall

A Conant High School student is suing the school district and an equipment manufacturer after he was hurt in a fall last Jan. 2 from the school's rock-climbing wall in Hoffman Estates.

Michael Hess was a junior at the time and was climbing the wall when the harness he was using either came loose or failed and he fell, claims the suit, filed Friday in Cook County Circuit Court.

The suit seeks unspecified damages in excess of $50,000.
