Candidates must give specific ideas

Am I the only person in this country still waiting for a presidential candidate to give up some specifics on how he or she will solve the problems that face the nation?

None of the candidates have spelled out their solution for the trillions of dollars of unfunded liability looming in the near future.

The Iraq war is only a small part of that deficit. None of the candidates have proposed what American citizens will need to sacrifice in order to preserve Medicare and Social Security. None have given specifics about how to solve our immigration/homeland security issues.

All I hear in the debates and other media reports are inane, ambiguous generalities mouthed by these buffoons who want to lead our nation.

They are all beholden to big business. Those currently serving in the Congress have done little to solve the looming economic and security issues facing the homeland.

They have no problem not enforcing current laws regarding illegal border crossings by drug dealers, potential terrorists and the throngs of undereducated, unskilled migrants coming to this country and claiming it for their own.

It's time for a new America -- an America that does not accept the lesser of two evils for leadership positions but instead demands excellence from those who seek to be our elected representatives.
