Round Lake Beach man killed in accident

A Round Lake Beach homeowner woke up Sunday morning to find a dead man in his yard.

Guy Velasquez, 33, died sometime late Saturday or early Sunday from multiple wounds following a snowmobile accident, said Lake County Coroner Richard Keller.

Velasquez, whose last known address was Round Lake Beach, hit several small trees in a residential neighborhood, said Bill Rohrs, captain of the Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District.

His body was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Sunday in a yard on Diana Court, Keller said.

Toxicology tests will be completed today. Funeral arrangements were unknown Sunday night.
