Notre Dame cruises to ninth straight win
Erica Williamson scored a career-high 16 points and added 8 rebounds as Notre Dame dominated inside against smaller St. Francis of Pennsylvania, beating the visiting Red Flash 82-39 Saturday.
The victory was the ninth straight for the Irish (11-1), while the Red Flash (3-8) lost their sixth straight to fall to 1-6 on the road.
Ashley Barlow added 12 points for the Irish and Devereaux Peters had 10. Britney Hodges led the Red Flash with 18 points.
UConn 70, Hartford 24: Maya Moore scored 21 points and Tina Charles grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds to lead No. 1 Connecticut over visiting Hartford (10-3) in the Huskies' first game since earning the top ranking this season.
Renee Montgomery added 12 for UConn, which opened the season 10-0 for the 10th time since 1994-95, the season the Huskies won the first of their five NCAA titles.
Jamie McCabe led the Hawks with 9 points.
Maryland 89, Richmond 59: Marissa Coleman scored 23 points, Crystal Langhorne had 15 points and 15 rebounds, and Maryland (15-1) beat visiting Richmond (7-6).
Wayne, Mich. 132, Temple Baptist 13: Jasmine McCall scored 23 points in Wayne, Michigan's rout of Temple Baptist. The 119-point margin of victory was 3 points shy of the NCAA Division II record. West Texas A&M defeated National Christian 155-33 on Nov. 29, 2001.
