Matter of perjury, not a sex scandal
Walt Zlotow gets many of his letters published in Fence Post, usually demonstrating skill in the manipulation of information.
His latest bit of political propaganda lambasting Henry Hyde for being a hypocrite (Dec. 18) is a case in point.
Mr. Zlotow, obviously displeased with Mr. Hyde's role in the impeachment of former President Clinton, brushes off the charges against Clinton as "essentially an overblown sex scandal."
Mr. Zlotow knows darn well that the case was about Clinton's committed perjury in defending himself in a sexual harassment trial -- hardly a trivial matter.
Just some advice -- if you want to smear a recently deceased man who served his country in Congress for a generation, don't bring Bill Clinton (who was ultimately forced to admit his perjury) into the conversation.
