Student's give back

Tuesday morning, students from Fremd High School in Palatine gathered to give back to the community.

Students had been bringing in gifts for the Grant-A-Wish Foundation Holiday Toy Dive. The collection is for kids ages 12 to 18. Students donated toys among other items teens would like to receive for Christmas.

The foundation started in 1980 to enrich the lives of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. In 2006, the group helped more than 12,500 children. The group claims to grant one wish every 41 minutes.
