What's the story behind this story?

That was a wonderful, touching and emotional story and video about Taylor Radtke's tumor removal.

A real American medical success story. It should be on the front page of every newspaper and on network news.

There must be another story behind this story. Why did 29 surgeons decline to perform this operation? Why did the surgeons in Phoenix decide to do it? I am not casting aspersions on the surgeons that declined to do it, because they must have some very good reasons. My suspicions are that the risk and resultant potential liability were major factors. If so, that raises other issues that are premature to get into.
