Jacobs cruises in opener

The Jacobs Golden Eagles, the No. 2-ranked team in the Daily Herald Top 20 poll, opened their season Thursday night with a 70-44 win over Normandy (Mo.) at the Quincy Thanksgiving boys basketball tournament.

John Moran led the Golden Eagles with 25 points and Conrad Krutwig added 19.

Jacobs continues tournament play in Quincy tonight, taking on Centralia at 6 p.m.
