Interactive is the word at special 'Grease' event
• If you've got chills and they're multiplyin', that's a sure sign you need to get out to "Sing-Along Grease" at 7 p.m. today and Saturday at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport, Chicago. Each patron will get Greased with a special box of props designed to augment the interactive sing-along experience. Admission costs $15. Go to www.musicboxtheatre.com or call (773) 871-6604.
• Don't be KISSED off. You can see the world premiere of the documentary "Paul Stanley: Live to Dream!" at the Chicago KISS Fan Fest, running from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 150 S. Gary Ave., Carol Stream.
This new doc comes from Palatine native D.P. Carlson (who was also a film and literature student of mine at Harper College in Palatine). Carlson's cameras take us behind the scenes of Louis Antonelli's concert movie "Live to Win Live," based on Stanley's solo performance in Chicago. Festival admission costs $25. • Chicago gets a warm little comic boost in Jeff Garlin's small-budgeted (but big-hearted) comedy "I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With," to be presented by the After Hours Film Society at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave., Downers Grove. Garlin walks around the Windy City in search of true love, and the lead role in a revival of "Marty." I give it .... General admission costs $8; $4 for members. Call (630) 534-4528 or go to www.afterhoursfilmsociety.com.
